What RouterVerdict uses AI for, what is checked before anything goes live, and who answers for it.

Last updated October 23, 2026

This page describes how RouterVerdict is actually made: what our AI tools do, what is checked and by whom, and the rules everything we publish follows.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to research, draft and organise our content. AI agents read manufacturer product pages, datasheets and manuals, enter the specifications into our structured sheets and write the text of product and comparison pages: the introduction, the editor’s note and the verdict. They also draft our articles, guides and reviews.

Product photos come from the manufacturer. Some images place that photo on a background made by an AI image model or crop it to show a detail, and some illustrations are made entirely with AI image tools. We caption these images to say how they were made.

What is checked before publication

Product and comparison pages

These pages are researched, written and published by our AI tools, and a person does not read each one before it goes live. The tools work to written rules: a specification must come from the manufacturer’s own page, datasheet or manual for the exact model, a figure that cannot be sourced stays marked Unknown, and the text may never claim that we used the product. Before a page is published, our publishing system checks that the specification sheet is substantially complete, that the introduction, editor’s note and verdict are all there, and that the page has a manufacturer image. Scores are calculated from the specifications by a fixed formula, not by AI.

Articles, guides and reviews

These are drafted with AI and saved as drafts. Since 14 October 2026 none has been published automatically: a person on our team decides whether each draft is published. Each one tells you, at the top, which of the following applies.

  • “This article was generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence.” No editor has checked it against its sources. Many pieces published before 14 October 2026 went live without anyone reviewing them first, and they carry this notice.
  • “Written with the assistance of artificial intelligence and checked against its sources by…” An editor has verified the facts against the sources and is named, with the date. Correcting grammar or skimming the text does not count as a check, and if the text changes after the check, the first notice comes back until it is checked again.

A piece written by a person without AI drafting carries neither notice.

What we do not do

We do not test products. Unless a page says otherwise and gives the dates, nobody here has used the product, and our pages never describe an experience we have not had. If you find wording that suggests otherwise, tell us and we will correct it.

We do not invent figures, prices, test results or reader reviews. When the sources disagree or say nothing, the page says so.

Editorial responsibility

We take editorial responsibility for the content published on this website, including everything produced with AI tools. The site is published by Ciprian Jitaru, whose contact details are in our terms of use. If something we published is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

How we research

Each product is described by a structured set of specifications defined per category, so two products in the same category are always measured on the same criteria. We prioritise primary sources (official manufacturer documentation and datasheets) and corroborate with reputable secondary sources when needed.

How the VS Score works

Individual specifications are normalised within their category and combined using transparent, consistent weights to produce a 0–100 VS Score. Because the same method is applied to every product in a category, scores are directly comparable. Where it helps, you can adjust the weights yourself to reflect your priorities and the scores recalculate instantly.

The full method is written out on How we score: how each spec is normalised, how the weights are set, what happens to a value we cannot verify and what the score deliberately ignores.

Independence

Scores and rankings are derived from specifications only. No advertiser, retailer or affiliate partner can pay to change a score, a ranking or a verdict. Commercial content, if any, is always clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial scoring.

Affiliate links

Many product and deal links are affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This funds the site and never influences our scoring or what we choose to cover.

Prices and availability

Prices change constantly. We refresh them regularly and show when a price was last seen, but the figure on the retailer’s site at checkout is always the authoritative one. Price history and drop alerts are provided for guidance only.

Sources on every page

Every product page lists the documents its sheet was built from (the official product page, the datasheet or manual, support and firmware documentation and any independent testing), together with the date it was first published and the date its specifications were last checked. If a source cannot be linked, the page says the links are still being compiled rather than pretending.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it promptly and, for anything material, note the change. If you spot an error in a spec, score or price, please tell us and we will review it.

Reviews from readers

Reader reviews are moderated before they appear. We remove spam, abuse and anything that breaches our terms, but we do not edit opinions to suit advertisers.
